No matter what I do, I can't seem to get away from writing. Even though I may not blog often or even type anything for other eyes to see, I still find myself mentally writing. And most of the time, it happens when I'm laying in bed.
I write some pretty awesome blogs while drifting off to sleep. Too bad I can't remember it all the next day. ;-)
Writing can be therapeutic. It's like, no matter what is going on in life, writing takes me away for a moment. If I fail at keeping the house clean or being patient with the kids, I have writing to fall back on. Now is it my talent? I guess some of us may have a different opinion about that than others.
So even though I do not write for a living anymore, I can still write to feel alive. Maybe I should go to bed now. Who knows what great stuff I will come up with before I pass out. ;-)

Hello August
It's August already! That means Cameron will be starting school this month. He starts pre-K on Aug. 22. It makes me a little sad to think about, but excited for him at the same time. I just hope he likes it as much as he thinks he will. He seems to be ready.
He has moved up to the 4-5 class at our church, and he already seems to be learning things from it. He is talking A LOT lately, but also telling stories. Lots of loud and passionate "and then!" happening in his stories. And he's is definitely growing. I hope he gets this growth spurt out of the way before we buy new school shoes.
Alivia is currently battling a virus. Not sure what kind of virus, but she's been running fever since Friday night. She seemed to be doing better yesterday, even fever-free. But the fever showed up again during the night. She's in a great mood today, so hopefully the end is near.
At her doctor's appointment yesterday, she weighed 21 pounds and was 31 inches tall. Intellectually, she's definitely having a growth spurt. She's been learning lots of new words and some signs. Cameron thinks it's his job to teach her words and signs for those words, which he makes up. So he taught her the word "dirty" a few days ago and then "waterfall" today, both of which had very similar signs.
She says "Thanks!" to everything. Not thank you, but thanks. It's cute. She also says "Mommy hold." And has started using the H's a lot, but I have no idea what she keeps trying to tell me. She loves to close doors. She is definitely a handful lately. I spend most of the day feeding her or checking on her to make sure she isn't into something she's not suppose to be.

It's been a while..
I really love writing. I received an income for doing so for a few years there. My love for writing is the reason I started this blog. But then I wrote one post and forgot about it. Shame on me.
Luckily, my best friend kindly reminded me. So here I am, with a promise to keep up with it. If I make a promise, then I have to keep it, right? Well, that's my motivation, at least.
Lately, my world has consisted of two needy children, a wonderful husband that I don't get to see often enough, church and cloth diapers.
I'm sure future blog posts will touch on all of those subjects. They will probably include lots of photos and videos. And since I'm horrible at writing in baby books, this blog will serve the purpose of recording memories. It will be the historian of our family, so to speak.
I guess it won't hurt to keep my writing skills sharp. I like to think of it as a skill, anyway. lol Don't want to get rusty...

Welcome to our table
Hello. Welcome to my new blog.
There will be quite a few different topics discussed in this blog: God, family, marriage, children, cloth diapers, saving money.. and the list goes on.
If you are reading this blog, you probably know about us already. But I'll give you the short story, anyway.
Kevin and I met in 1999. For me, it was love at first sight. For him? Probably not. But the end result still speaks volume. After seven months of dating, we were married in April 2000. Seven years later, in May 2007, Cameron was born. Two and a half years later, in December 2009, Alivia was born.
We adore our children and recognize that parenting is the most important job we have right now. That's why we decided that I would stay home with them full-time.
Well, that is all for now. Check back later. ;-)
